Registering and canceling a license
Overview
Lightning Review registers licenses via the Internet.
Here, we will introduce how to register a license.
Before registering a license
Lightning Review connects to the Internet during license activation.
To perform license activation correctly, you must be able to connect to the following domains.
- License authentication site:
https://api.cryptlex.com:443/v3/licenses
The message "{"message":"Authentication failed!..." is displayed.
Register license
-
In the [License registration] dialog, check "Enter retail key".
-
Enter the product key in [Product key] and your email address in [Email address], then select [Register].
If license registration fails, please check the following.
- Troubleshooting: An error message is displayed stating that the license has been invalidated
- Set the proxy
Set the proxy
If your Internet connection goes through a proxy server, license registration may fail.
If this fails, you will need to make the following network settings.
- In the [License Registration] dialog, check Standard Edition and select [Network Settings].
- In the [Network Connection Information] dialog, set the proxy information.
After making the above settings, perform the registration process again.
Releasing the license
- Select [Help] - [Releasing license].
- Select [OK] in the [Releasing license] dialog.
Notes
When activating the license, communication is performed using the HTTP request header "100-Continue".
If you are using a proxy server that supports HTTP/1.0, an error may occur during license activation.
In this case, you will need to take one of the following measures.
- Set it to pass 100-Continue
- Upgrade to a version that supports HTTP/1.1
