Combining Multiple Review Files into One

Overview

The "Review File Merge Function" allows you to add and update comments all at once.

  • You can check the status and properties of updated comments in a list.
  • While it was also possible to add comments using the "Comment Copy & Paste Function," the "Review File Merge Function" also targets the outline tree.
For details on the "Comment Copy & Paste Function," please refer to the following link: "Comment Copy & Paste Function"

This section introduces how to use and operate the Review File Merge Function.

Installation

  1. Click [Tools] menu - [Manage Extensions] to launch the [Manage Extensions] dialog box.

  2. From [Denso Create Official], select [Comfortable Editing Support Function].

You can quickly find it by typing "editing support" in the search box.

Select the latest version, version 1.0.2 or later.

  1. Click the [Install] button.
  2. Restart Lightning Review.

Merge Review Files

  1. Open the review file to merge.
  2. Execute [Merge Review Files...] from the [File] menu.
  3. In the [Select Review Files to Merge] dialog, select the review files to merge.
  4. After the merge is executed, the [Merge Results] dialog will be displayed.
Clicking on a row in the dialog will jump to the corresponding comment.

Note that in order to merge review files, both the source and destination review files must meet all of the following conditions:

  • The destination is not in shared mode
  • Review settings: The check status of "Record reasons for issues" must be the same
  • Review settings: "Status management" must be the same

Information to Merge

Review Settings

  • Add information from the source.
  • If the destination review file does not contain the information, the following items will be added:
  • Cause process, detection process, classification, custom fields 1-20
  • Members: "Reporter", "Reviser", "Confirmer"

Outline Tree

  • Reflect the outline tree from the source to the destination.
  • If the outline node from the source does not exist in the destination, the following will be added:
  • Outline Node
  • Outline Node Issues

Issues

  • The property values, issues, and modified images of the issue with the most recent update date will be reflected in the merge destination.
  • If the issue in the source does not exist in the merge destination, a new issue will be added.
In this case, the issue ID will be an empty value and will be numbered upon saving.

Notes

  • Only the addition and updating of outline trees and issues can be merged.
Merging of moves and deletions is not performed.
  • If the properties of the issue in the source are unset or empty, the properties of the merge destination will also be unset or empty.
  • After merging or saving, the issue ID and image number (e.g., 1-2, 2-1) may differ from the source.
  • The extension menu may not be displayed only upon restarting immediately after installation.
In that case, please restart the application.
