An error occurs when opening an Excel file from the outline tree

Symptoms

A system error occurs when opening a document (Office file) registered in the outline tree.

Causes

An error may occur if your PC is in the following state.

• Multiple different versions of Office coexist.
• Different versions of Office have been installed in the past.

Countermeasures

1. If different versions of Office exist, uninstall the older version of Office.

2. If the issue is not resolved by "1." or if a different version of Office was installed in the past,
   Repair the Office you are using.
   For how to repair the installation, please refer to "Office Repair Installation Procedure".

Office Repair Installation Procedure

1. Display "Programs and Features" from the Control Panel.

2. Select Microsoft Office, right-click and select "Change".
   If you are using Microsoft 365, it will be "Microsoft 365 Apps ...".

   

3. Follow the wizard to perform "Repair".
