Affected version

Lightning Review 2.0 (resolved in versions 2.5 and later)

This problem has been resolved in the latest version.

If you are having trouble, please update Lightning Review to the latest version.

Symptom

When Lightning Review starts, it takes a long time to display the start page.
(Lightning Review appears to have frozen because it takes a long time to display the start page.)

info

There is no clear time estimate because it depends on the PC specifications and the number of subfolders in the specified folder, but
It may take several minutes to display the start page.

Condition

This phenomenon occurs when the following is met.

  1. In the Workspace Folder or Review Explorer, register the path of a folder that has a large number of subfolders (approximately more than 100 folders).
  2. Close the Workspace Folder or Review Explorer while in the "1" state.
  3. After "2", perform an operation to display the start page. Specifically, do one of the following:
    • Exit Lightning Review once and then start it again
    • Go to File > Close

Workaround

This can be resolved by deleting the workspace folder in question from the Workspace Folder, but this does not occur in the latest version of Lightning Review, so please update to the latest version.
