Phenomenon
After capturing pointed images and saving and closing the review file, some of the pointed images may disappear when you reopen the review file.
Conditions for occurrence
The above phenomenon may occur extremely rarely.
Lightning Review's image capture function is realized by using a function that Windows has.
Currently, we have confirmed that the occurrence probability is slightly higher than usual when using Lightning Review in the following way and under the following conditions.
- There is insufficient free hard disk space on the server or PC storing the review file.
- There is insufficient free hard disk space on the PC opening the review file.
- Set the review file to shared mode and perform the following operations.
- Multiple people frequently save files.
- When multiple people are editing, the share mode is frequently switched on and off.
Workaround
When using Lightning Review, please note the following points.
- Make sure that there is enough free space on the HDD of the server or PC where the review file is stored.
- Back up the review file regularly.
- When using a review file in share mode and multiple people are editing it, do not frequently switch the share setting on and off.
- If you notice an image disappearing, the contents of the review file may be corrupted.
In that case, do not continue to use the file, but recover it using the backup file and edit it again.
How to reduce the probability of the problem occurring
The possibility of the problem occurring may be reduced by turning off the automatic deletion function for temporary folders in the Windows settings.
