When creating a new review file with "Save As", some images may not be saved.
Affected version
Lightning Review 1.8.3 or earlier
This problem has been resolved in the latest version.
If you are having trouble, please update to the latest version of Lightning Review.
Phenomenon
When creating a Lightning Review file (hereafter referred to as a review file) for an existing review file in which pointed out images are registered using the following procedure, the pointed out images in the file may disappear.
- Open the existing review file (①) in LR, and create a review file with a different name (②) by selecting "File" - "Save As".
(In other words, leave the existing review file and create a new review file with a different name.) - After "Save As", close LR and open ② saved with a different name.
info
- Only images may not be saved in ②.
(All non-image information, such as comments, will be saved.) - All images pointed out in the review file (①) that was the basis for "Save As" will remain.
- Registered images pointed out will not be lost when "Save Overwrite" is selected.
Workaround
If you want to create a review file with a different name and make corrections based on an existing review file, create it using the following procedure instead of "Save As".
- First, copy the review file itself in Explorer, rename it, and create a review file with a different name.
- Open the review file created by copying and renaming in "1" and make corrections.
